Vision
Following Collins and Porras (Build to last), we consider
our Vision as comprised of two main components: a core ideology
and an imagined future.
Towards a core ideology
The core ideology defines the lasting nature of an organization;
a coherent identity that goes further than just product or
market life cycles, beyond technological advances, management
style or individual leadership.
The core ideology is comprised of Core Values and the Core
Purpose.
During a large part of 2003, all of us who constitute Idea
Factory worked passionately to discover and build our
Core Purpose as well as the Values that the company was to
assume as its own. Part of this process was completed, the
Core Purpose, and part is still under development: the definition
of the Core Values
Core Purpose: is the raison d´étre
of an organization, it reflects the idealistic motivations
that compel people to fulfill their day to day tasks. By definition,
and differing from goals and objectives, the Core Purpose
is ultimately never attained as it serves to stimulate change
and progress.
Our Core Purpose: Idea Factory is an
organization dedicated to intellectual production using best
of breed technology. It produces, always maintaining a global
perspective and as such, hopes to contribute to the recognition
of Argentina in the world platform in which it participates.
Core Values: are the essential
and long-lasting principles of an organization An organization
does not change its values according to market variables but
rather should change the market in order to faithfully adhere
to its values.
We are in the process of "discovering" our Core
Values, although honesty and transparency will most certainly
be among them.
